Awards for Future Journalists from The University

The future journalists from the UNWE achieved equal results with their colleagues from St. Climent Ohridski University of Sofia in the Third Competition on Correct Writing organized by the educational portal Academica BG. The event was held at the National Press Club of Bulgarian News Agency.

The competition which is part of the national campaign titled Be Literate was carried out in several stages between the teams of the UNWE, Sofia University and New Bulgarian University. In each team there were three participants who were given 15 minutes to do the tests. Both teams from the UNWE and Sofia University won 14 scores each one and the team from the New Bulgarian University won 11 scores.  

Representatives from the UNWE were the students in their second year on Journalism Zvezdelina Georgieva, Milena Vasileva and Milen Milanov. Another five colleagues of them together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Svetla Tsankova from the Media and Public Communications Department supported the team.

All three competitors of the team were handled Certificates of participation as well as tickets for theatre performance, fiction books, caps and a set of pens “for correct wring”.
