Our University Won the Third Place in the Team Ranking of the 28 High Schools Participating in the Winter University and the University Winter Games 2024

For consecutive year the students from the University of National and World Economy took part in the Winter University and the University Winter Games organized by the National Assembly of the Student Councils in the Republic of Bulgaria and the University Sports Association Academic. For the first time in the history of the University Winter Games the UNWE managed to become third in the general team ranking in competition with 28 universities.

The students from the UNWE took part in the race for prizes in 6 disciplines: snowboarding, ski rally, alpine skiing /giant slalom/, cross-country skiing, snowboarding and fast sledding. Two representatives of the delegation competing in snowboarding and ski alpine /giant slalom/ were very successful.

Victoria Yancheva, 2nd year, specialty Business Informatics and Communications taight in English won the gold medal in the discipline snowboarding /women/.

Bronze medal in the giant slalom competition /men/ won Anton Tomov, 4th year, specialty Economics of Transport and Energy.

In the current XIV edition of the Winter University took part 420 students from 28 universities. The Winter University aims to build an active dialogue between the student communities of the universities through their participation in trainings, seminars, sports and cultural events, bringing them together to work together for the development of mass student sport, education and intercultural values.
