UNWE Signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Bulgarian Construction Chamber

The UNWE and the Bulgarian Construction Chamber /BCC/ concluded a Memorandum of Cooperation. The document was signed by the Rector Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov and the Chairman of the Board of the BCC Eng. Ilian Terziev.

"The policy of UNWE is to bring the training closer to the practice. The University develops long-term partnerships with leading companies, state institutions, and organizations. It opens many opportunities and advantages for our students to experience the real business environment; we have already successfully implemented business academies with Kaufland and A1", said Prof. Dimitar Dimitrov and emphasized: “I am certain that we have a great potential for a successful partnership with the Bulgarian Construction Chamber not only in terms of organizing internship programmes and academies, but also to work on collaborative projects in the future".

Eng. Ilian Terziev expressed his gratitude for the opportunity of cooperation between the Bulgarian Construction Chamber and the UNWE and pointed out: "I think it is the beginning of a wonderful cooperation and I am convinced that it will be very beneficial for both sides. We approach with contentment and desire to make this a sustainable partnership and we will do our best to implement the ideas we have for joint initiatives and activities”.

The document states that the UNWE and the Bulgarian Construction Chamber will cooperate by providing information to the UNWE students about internships and public events to present the work of the organization.

The scope of the Memorandum also includes the exchange of information and publications on activities and major events held by the and the UNWE as well as assistance for the participation of representatives of the organization in presentations to students, lectures, seminars, conferences, meetings or other events organized by the University. There is also an opportunity for partnership in the preparation of collaborative projects and their subsequent implementation as well as assistance in conducting training in Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degree programmes at UNWE for representatives and experts from the BCC.

The Association will support the participation of lecturers and other representatives of the UNWE in meetings, lectures, expertise, consultations, statistical and other studies and events organized by the BCC. Cooperation through mutual assistance in other specific activities and events, such as Academies of mutual interest, is also part of the agreement.

The Coordinator for the implementation of the Memorandum from the UNWE is the Assistant Rector Prof. D.Sc. Kiril Stoychev and from the BCC is Dimitar Koparov, Director of Organizational Policy, International Affairs and Project Management Directorate.
