I have a profound conviction that all the people at the UNWE are here not by accident. Each of our academic body is a significant personality – as well as in the lecturing as also in the science and practice, said the Rector Prof. D.Sc. (Econ.) Statty Stattev when he was giving diplomas to both new associate professors of the university – Svetoslav Spasov and Biser Petkov. By tradition the certificates were bestowed officially at a session of the Faculty Council of the Economic of Infrastructure Faculty.

All we are people who have a strong impact as well as at the auditorium as also in the science and practice, said Prof. Stattev. “By my profound conviction it is gathered here the most serious intellectual potential of the nation. And today in front of us are standing two men of that kind – merited members of our academic family, merited associate professors of UNWE. The Rector also pointed out that Assoc. Prof. Biser Petkov is a Head of one of the most complicated institutions in the country – the National Insurance Institute and Assoc. Prof. Svetoslav Spasov occupies an important post and on his book translated already in Austria is written the name of UNWE. “I am going to give diplomas to both with the conviction that their present and future serious responsibilities, the duties in the practice will lead to such accumulation of experience which will make them merited professors of our university”, outlined Prof. Statty Stattev.

Both new associate professors presented their academic speeches and answered two questions of Prof. D. Sc. (Econ.) Hristo Parvanov, Dean of the Economic of Infrastructure Faculty. They pointed in details how their academic activity was contributed and would contribute to development of the Department where they read lectures as well as to the Faculty and to UNWE.
