Four of the Ministers in the 102nd Bulgarian Government are from the UNWE

The new government elected by the National Assembly includes three alumni and a Doctoral student from our university.

The Minister of Energy Rumen Radev graduated Finance at the UNWE and Physics at St. Climent Ohridsky University of Sofia. Radev has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Asarel-Investment since 2012 - responsible for the investments in the mining industry, energy, new technologies. He is the Coordinator of the project ZAHYR. Vice-Chairman of the Industrial Capital Association in Bulgaria, member of the Trustees Board of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Vice-Chairman of the Bulgarian Association for Fuel Cells, Hydrogen and Energy Storage.

The new Minister of Economy Bogdan Bogdanov has Master's degree in European Business and Finance from the UNWE and Nottingham Trent University in the UK. He is a graduate of the University of Insurance and Finance /VUZF/ and he has studied at West Chester University in the USA. Bogdan Bogdanov is a business development specialist with over 10 years of experience. He has worked for Bulgarian and foreign companies with a focus on development industries and high added value. In 2022 he was appointed as Executive Director of the Bulgarian Investment Agency /BIA/ by order of the then Minister of Innovation and Growth Daniel Lohrer.

Zaritza Dinkova who was elected as Minister of Tourism received her higher education at the UNWE, speciality International Relations, and from the Complutense University of Madrid she holds a Master's degree in International Economic Relations. Zaritza Georgieva was Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria in the two inetrimr governments in 2021. She is a senior political adviser in the European Parliament. She has experience as a manager of major international projects for the UN and the EU.

The newly elected Minister of e-Government Alexander Yolovsky is a Doctoral student at the Public Administration Department of UNWE. He has Master's degree in Political Science from St. Climent Ohridsky University of Sofia. He has Master's degree in Political Science from the UNWE. He has more than ten years of experience in planning, implementation, coordination and control of activities related to the administrative reform and e-government as well as in the field of strategic planning for the demands of public administration and e-government.

Since February to August 2022 he has been Deputy Minister of e-Government when Bozhidar Bozhanov is Minister in the Cabinet of Kiril Petkov. In the period August 2015 - November 2016 and August 2019 - January 2022, he has been Head of Division and since August 2022 to the present he has been Senior Project Manager at the National System Integrator Information Services AD.

In the period 2016 - 2019 Alexander Yolovsky is Deputy Chairman of the State Agency of Electronic Government. Since 2011 to 2015 he has been Head of Division at the Ministry of Finance and at the Administration of the Council of Ministers leading the development of the Operational Programme Good Governance 2014-2020 and he has led the negotiations with the European Commission for the adoption of the Operational Programme.
