Delegation from the UNWE Discussed the Future of our European University ENGAGE.EU in Bergen
A delegation of 11 lecturers and students from the UNWE participated in one of the major conferences of the European University ENGAGE.EU, part of which our university along with eight other leading universities in the field of social sciences. NHH Norwegian School of Economics in Bergen, Norway, hosted the event that took place exactly one year after the UNWE welcomed in Sofia the expansion of the alliance with Ramon Llull University, Spain and Hanken School of Economics, Finland.

The Rector of UNWE Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov together with the Rectors of the other higher schools participated in the discussion of the global strategy and vision for the future of our European University. "ENGAGE.EU provides the UNWE the opportunity to be a key partner in building a university of the future that aims at the development and improvement of the European societies. It is undoubtedly the future of European education". The Rector gave as present to the hosts an icon St. St. Cyril and Methodius wishing the ENGAGE.EU to have a sustainability and impact similar to that of the Cyrillic and Slavic cultures.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Michail Musov, Vice Rector for Research and International Affairs and Coordinator of the project for the UNWE, was part of the meetings of the management team of the Alliance focused on the activities related to the upcoming new stage of the European University development. After the discussions he summarized: "The development of collaborative initiatives has progressed significantly and the ENGAGE.EU has an increasingly high impact providing a range of opportunities for all students, lecturers and administration. Together with our partners, we strive to provide the most comprehensive opportunities for learning and research activity development ".

The lecturers Prof. Dr. Venelin Boshnakov, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Svetla Boneva, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kostadin Kolarov, Assoc. Dr. Violeta Zlatkova, Chief Assist. Dr. Yury Tsenkov, Chief Assist. Dr. Sabrina Kalinkova, Chief Assist. Dr. Ivan Valchanov and the students Maria Karapetrova and Daniel Zhelyazkov took part in the working sessions related to the three major pillars of ENGAGE.EU - education, research and impact.
The event coincided with the announcement of the courses which are part of the initiative for Online Exchange and Co-Modular Learning for the autumn semester and the UNWE students could also include in them. On 8 and 9 June the UNWE will host for the second consecutive year the Conference for Doctoral students and Young Researchers organized by the ENGAGE.EU.
All members of our delegation were "branded" wearing the UNWE sweatshirts showing their unity. The foreign partners expressed their readiness to follow their pattern during future events.

The next large event of the European University of the Future is planned for the end of October in Rome when the third birthday of ENGAGE.EU will be celebrated.
