The 5th Alumni of Bachelors, Distance Form of Learning Began Its Education at the Regional Center for Distance Learning - Haskovo
The 5th alumni of 120 Bachelors in distance form of education, professional fields Economics and Administration and Management began their first academic year at the Regional Center for Distance Learning – Haskovo. At the opening ceremony attended Prof. Veselka Pavlova, Vice-Rector of UNWE and Director of the Center for Distance Learning, the new Director of the Regional Center for Distance Learning Assoc. Prof. Jivko Draganov, representatives of the regional and municipal management body.

Prof. Veselka Pavlova greeted the new admitted students for their choice of appropriate educational form which gives them an opportunity to combine the official and family engagements with an effective academic process of education. “The first alumni of Bachelors have graduated successfully in June”, pointed out Prof. Pavlova and she outlined that this year again the announced places for students at the Regional Center for Distance Learning have been filled up even till the third ranking. She emphasized on the leaders place of UNWE in Bulgaria, Europe and in the world and pointed out that in 2012 the university has been given the highest estimation among all Bulgarian universities from the National Agency for Assessment and Accreditation. Prof. Pavlova advised the first year undergraduates to pay special attention to their self-preparation, to prepare for consultations with the lecturers and not to forget that a guarantee for success is the quality of education. “Don`t think that during the exam session you will succeed to learn two textbooks and prepare a course paper for a week”, was explicit in her statement Prof. Pavlova.

You have made the right choice and should be self-confident as full rights students at the UNWE, turned to the first year undergraduates Assoc. Prof. Jivko Draganov, Director of the Center. “I believe you will show an ambition and I`ll be glad if some of you participate in the international exchange on the Erasmus Programme”. After some time we could become colleagues too”, he mentioned. Assoc. Prof. Draganov outlined that he was born in Haskovo and it was an honour to him to manage the Regional Center for Distance Learning.

The students and academic management received greeting addresses for the new academic year by the mayors of the towns Haskovo, Lyubimets and Ivailovgrad. Good luck and tail-wind wished to students the Deputy Regional Manager Nikolay Nanev and the Chairman of Haskovo Municipality Council Ivan Ivanov.
