The UNWE presented the documentary Morality is the Good which tells about the life of Christian Takov - lecturer in Civil Law at Law Faculty of St. Climent Ohridsky University of Sofia and a public figure on the backdrop of the historical events of recent decades in Bulgaria. Archivе shots and documents, a series of interviews with his family, colleagues, friends and associates as well as his thoughts and insights are presented. In the period 1993 - 1994 Kristian Takov was a lecturer in Family and Contract Law at the Law Faculty of UNWE in its branch in Montana.

"Welcome to the film Morality is Good - a biographic movie about our former colleague Assoc. Prof. Christian Takov", said the Rector of our university Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov. "He began his lecturing career as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the UNWE. There were a lot of obstacles around the projection of the film but as you can see things happen. The initiative was taken by the Centre for Legal Studies and its Director Prof. D.Sc. Zhivko Draganov and the Dean of the Law Faculty Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zahary Tormanov."

Prof. D.Sc. Zhivko Draganov, Director of the Centre for Legal Studies and Head of the International and EU Law Department, pointed out that it is a film not only about the law but also about the good and morality as categories. "Christian Takov left a mark not only among lawyers. I think this film will be an experience for everyone in the room and each of us will have something to think about. We need individuals like this in our society."

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zahary Tormanov, Dean of the Law Faculty, said that he had the honour and the human experience to know Christian Takov and to be a friend with him. "He was an extremely erudite, subtle and aristocratic personality. The last thing he was to be a conformist, he didn't allow himself to break his principles for his own convenience or a fast career, or anything on a personal level. He shared the ideas of the great German jurist Rudolf von Hering, translated his work The Struggle for Law and fought for law as a conscious necessity, as a view that the law is an instrument to make society better with the qualification that the law and regulations alone are not enough. It takes a daily effort to fight for law which is also a fight for justice. He spared no effort to fight for good."

"It is the most watched documentary in the modern history and it is in the Top 10 of all Bulgarian films last year", said Mr. Veselin Dimanov, author, writer and director of the film, which is his debut in the film industry. He specified that the production was made for three years as the idea of the film was to restore the life of Christian Takov as much as possible. The film features previously unreleased archive shots and recordings from BNT and BNR.
