Our University Became Home to Talents from the 55. High School “Petko Karavelov”

The UNWE hosted the final of the contest Talents of 55. High School “Petko Karavelov“. Maxima Aula gathered parents, teachers and guests who enjoyed the performances of the most talented pupils from the 55. High School. They showed their skills and talent in various areas - personal creativity, singing, dancing, playing and sports.

The Rector of UNWE Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov greeted the guests in Maxima Aula with "Welcome to the UNWE!" and outlined: "UNWE is a springboard for talents. The Rector's Managing body supports such initiatives and the University often hosts cultural events such as exhibitions, theatre performances and concerts. Today is even more exciting because their talent will show to us the pupils of 55. High School “Petko Karavelov“ with which we successfully cooperate. I believe that among you are many of our future students. Congratulations for the wonderful mood you create at our university. I wish success to all participants!", said the Rector.

The Director of the High School Tanya Pancheva expressed her thankfulness to the Rector of UNWE Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov for the opportunity to hold the event in Maxima Aula and added that today is a very special day for the big family of the 55. High School because it is the 180th Anniversary of the birth of their patron Petko Karavelov.

"Many events have been organized in his memory where our pupils have showed their skills and talents and that is what you will see tonight - an extravaganza of music, dance and lots of beauty but to implement it there have to be two main factors. The first is a team of professionals to organize the event and these are my colleagues whom I thank very much. The second important condition for any event is that it finds its home and here we found it in the face of our partners from the UNWE and precisely in the personal commitment of the Rector Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov", said Tanya Pancheva.

The Rector awarded the prize to the winner of the essay letter contest Victoria Ruzheva.

By the UNWE party the event was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rosen Kirilov, Vice Rector for Digitalization and Cybersecurity and Gergana Kirilova, Director of Rector's Office Dorectorate.
