A Conference United The Efforts of Leading Scientists in The Field of Information and Communication Technologies.

Participants in the International Scientific Conference discussed the application of information and communication technologies in the field of economy and education. Almost 100 was the number of reports, twenty three foreign specialists took part in the event and the number of young researchers considerably exceeded the number of professors and associate professors. These facts were outlined as an advantage of the Forum by Prof. Valentin Goev, Dean of the Applied Informatics and Statistics Faculty.

The Conference is very well organized and it is indicative for our national information thinking, pointed out at the opening of the International Conference Prof. Valentin Kisimov, Vice-Rector on the Electronic Organization of UNWE and Head of the Information Technologies and Communications Department. Nineteen are the universities in our country that educate in Informatics, said the Vice-Rector ascertaining that the lack of successful results in the field of Informatics in the country is because of the lack of coordination in the academic researches. Young people are those who will actuate the science, said also Prof. Kisimov, basing to the observations that the field still lacks specialists. “There must be a system to unite us”, appealed once again to the attendants the Vice-Rector as he outlined that the Conference is an appropriate Forum for such a perspective step.

In the Forum took part scientists from St. Climent Ohridky University of Sofia, Bulgarian Academy of Science, New Bulgarian University, D. Tzenov Economic Academy of Svishtov, Todor Kableshkov University of Transport, University of Forestry of Sofia, Economic University of Varna, Bishop Preslavsky University of Shumen, College of Dobrich, Technical University of Varna, Angel Kantchev University of Ruse, Plovdiv University of Food Technologies and Paisii Hilendarsky University of Plovdiv, Sofia College of Management, Trade and Marketing, G. S. Rakovsky Military Academy as well as a lot of representatives of the academic science from Russia, Ukraine, Malaysia, Iran, Indonesia, Macedonia, Moldova and many other countries.

Seven were the thematic directions in the Conference and they were related to the economic, organizational and managerial aspects of the information and communication technologies, their applicable aspects and the education, the social impact and information security, etc.
