The Head of the Political Economy Department Prof. D.Sc. Pencho Penchev and Prof. D.Sc. /Econ./ Nikolay Nenovsky from the Finance Department has been invited as guest editors for a special issue of The European Journal of the History of Economic Thought. Over the last two decades it has established itself as the most authoritative international forum for discussions and contributions in the field of the history of economic thought. In it their research results publish both established scientists and researchers who are at the beginning of their academic growth. Only 28% of the articles that are submitted manage to go through the review process for being published.

Prof. D.Sc. Pencho Penchev and Prof. D.Sc. /Econ./ Nikolay Nenovsky during the 24th International Conference on the Development and Underdevelopment in the History of Economic Thought organized by the European Society for the History of Economic Thought /ESHET/ and held at the UNWE

Both lecturers from the UNWE will be engaged in the selection of articles that have high enough scientific qualities for the special issue of the journal which is indexed by Web of Science and Scopus. According to Prof. Penchev such an invitation provides an opportunity to learn good editorial and scientific practices to be applied in periodicals of UNWE and in the training of young scientists. And this is the way to raise the prestige of our university and to achieve high academic standards.
