Prof. Statty Stattev Was Elected To Be A Member of The Board of Rectors` Council of Bulgarian Universities

Prof. Statty Stattev, Rector of UNWE was elected by an overwhelming majority to be a member of the Board of Rectors`Council of Bulgarian Universities.

A session of the General Assembly of Rectors`Council of Bulgarian Universities was held at the Large Conference Hall of UNWE. It was elected the new Chairman of the Rectors Council – Prof. Vanio Mitev, Rector of the Medical University of Sofia. He won the post by 32 of the total 48 votes and competed with the other two candidates for the post: Prof. Stoyan Dentchev, Rector of the University of Library Science and Information Technologies and Prof. Plamen Legkostup, Rector of the University of Veliko Tarnovo. By a secret voting were elected also the other six members of the Board of Rectors`Council.

Over the last four years the position of Chairman of the Rectors Council has been occupied by the former Rector of UNWE Prof. Borislav Borisov for two mandates. He presented to the General Assembly a report on the activity of the Rectors Council since May, 10th, 2010 to December, 31st, 2011.
