Students from The Finance and Accountancy Faculty Participated in The Career Forum Future Professions 2017

Students from the Finance and Accountancy Faculty of UNWE took part in the Career Forum Future Professions 2017 organized by the Junior Achievement Bulgaria. The event was held at the John Atanasov Innovation Forum of Sofia Tech Park and it was focused on the professions in the finance and accountancy sector.

The students crowded the hall at the John Atansov Innovation Forum of Sofia Tech Park 

The Forum was opened by the Executive Director of Junior Achievement Bulgaria Milena Stoycheva and by the Deputy Mayor of Finance at Sofia Municipality Doncho Barbalov. The participants were also greeted on behalf of the Dean of the Finance and Accountancy Faculty of UNWE Prof. Dr. Snezhana Basheva who had expressed her thankfulness to organizers for their dedicated efforts in the fruitful initiative and had wished a successful meeting between the business and education in her Greeting address.

The presentations and discussions in each of the three panels were exceptionally useful for the students. In the first part of the event successful managers spoke about the tendencies in the financial reporting, business and managerial analysis, life insurance, pension insurance, banking and public finance. The second panel was focused on the emotional intelligence and burnout syndrome. In the last discussion representatives of companies from the financial sector shared their professional experience with the attendees.

After the Forum lots of students asked questions about their professional realization in the sphere of finance, accountancy and financial control in a personal conversation with the participants in the panel discussions.

Doctoral student James Yolovsky

Co-organizer of the initiative and one of the moderators of the panel discussions was James Yolovsky, Doctoral student at the Accountancy and Analysis Department of UNWE.
