The Rector of UNWE Greeted The Managers of Nestle Bulgaria

Being here is a special honour for me not an obligation, declared the Rector Prof. D.Sc.(Econ.) Statty Stattev in his greeting speech to the participants in the meeting of Managers of Nestle Bulgaria in Maxima Aula which was held on 18 November. At the event attended Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yordan Bliznakov, Director of the Inter-University Center for Career Development, Emanuel Artur, Director Executive of Nestle Bulgaria and guests.

Prof. Stattev outlined that 150 years of presence in the branch represented by Nestle had been an exclusively respective period. “In comparison I would like to say that after four year our university will celebrate its one century anniversary of its establishment so we can consider you as an older brother. But 150 years in the field of foods and drinks, 150 years of being at the top and being No.1 in the world is really something exceptional and I hope that it will continue”, wished the Rector.

The beginning of the relations between the UNWE and Nestle Bulgaria was set up two years ago when the Memorandum of Cooperation was signed. Our university was chosen by the Nestle Bulgaria when it had become one of the major initiators of the European Youth Employment Initiative. It wasn`t an accidental choice because most of the Managers of the company are alumni of UNWE and because they are preferred by the employers for their excellent preparation, emphasized the Rector.  

Prof. Stattev reminded that the UNWE is the largest university in the country and declared that it would continue being a loyal partner of Nestle Bulgaria. “Now we can make the next step in our partnership combining the expert potential of both institutions. We can be useful through our scientific expertise and you - through your production expertise will assist the internships and realization of our graduates”, said Prof. Stattev.

Emanuel Artur (on the left in the picture below) expressed his thankfulness to the Rector for the hospitability, wonderful conditions for working and for the very successful mutual cooperation.

A positive role for the development of cooperation between the UNWE and Nestle Bulgaria has the Inter-University Center for Career Development and its Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yordan Bliznakov who is a Coordinator for the implementation of the Memorandum by the university.
