In a direct communication with the audience Yasar Markos featured the key questions in the topic and shared ideas for achieving the success in the professional development, business and personal relationship through the effective communication. The lecturer has graduated in medicine and worked as a doctor in Israel until he has found that in fact the problems arise a long time before their appearance at physical level. Then he decided to leave his highly paid job and devote to his mission – to assist people in their personal development. He has helped more than 8 000 people during more than 200 trainings in Netherlands, Bulgaria and Israel. Giving examples Markos examined some of the differences in the ways of communication and their effects.

In the Ceremonial Hall

Pavel Popov is a Manager of two projects at the moment and one of them is in a partnership with Markos. It is a start-up whose major activity is the training for personal development and sales. Popov outlined that the communication is a process accompanying the human life and helping to contact and communicate in a social environment.

Attendees at the meeting

In his presentation Yasar Markos defined the desire, intention, flexibility, stability and integrity as the most important in the process of communication. He differentiated the four styles of communication and pointed out their factors: formal and informal, dominant and passive. The lecturer gave clear characteristics of the styles determining them as “controlling”, “analyzable”, “promoting” and “supportive”. Understanding of styles can lead to transformation of the way we communicate because there is often misunderstanding not because of the unwillingness but just because of the lack of knowledge and unsuccessful transmission of information in a way understandable by the others, pointed out Markos.  The knowledge for styles helps to understand everyone`s needs especially in the process of adopting and transmitting of information so knowing the styles helps to find the right way for making the information close and understandable by the others.

During the lecture

The attendees in the hall determined themselves in the communication styles and the four groups made the so called application of knowledge. The teams defined leaders and presenters and received a certain “currency” to sell their project. That`s the way we have succeeded to sell a project for 1 million leva, pointed out Popov before the beginning of the demonstrative “game”.
