Prof. Thomas Puhl - Doctor Honoris Causa of UNWE

The UNWE Academic Council unanimously decided to confer the honorary title on the proposal of the Rector of the University Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov.
The honorary title will be awarded to Prof. Thomas Puhl for his merits as a visionary and innovator in the European Education and Research Area, for his contribution to the establishment and development of the European University Alliance ENGAGE.EU and for the fruitful cooperation with the UNWE.
The work of Prof. Thomas Puhl as President of the Governing Board of the European University Alliance ENGAGE.EU from 2020 to 2024 and as President of the Coordinating University - the University of Mannheim has helped to raise the reputation of ENGAGE.EU and to establish it as a European university committed to transforming the society to meet today's challenges, achieve the green and digital transitions and sustainable development.
