The article is devoted to the importance of ethics in organizations, according to which the value of moral behavior can hardly be calculated with quantitative methods, but the damage that immoral behavior can cause can have a specific budgetary line. Research interest in ethics is provoked by the possibilities for developing an organizational environment that would promote self-regulation, self-control and self-restraint of character qualities in a positive direction and that would contribute to the achievement of organizational (strategic) goals and the effective and efficient performance of tasks. The purpose of the study is to analyze and improve the understanding of an ethical framework in organizations, which has the task of creating an environment of respect, attitude and productivity, and not simply as the introduction of a formal tool for managing human behavior. To achieve this goal, secondary data analysis and an observation method have been used. As a result of the study, two approaches – open and conservative – to the development of relations within the organization have been systematized, and their possible characteristics and tools for implementation in organizations have been described. The conclusion emphasizes that the choice of an approach to creating an ethical framework in organizations must be preceded by a mandatory analysis and assessment of the environment where it will be implemented.
