В статията се разглежда същността на инфраструктурата за енергийната система. Затова са от­белязани основните типове енергийна инфраструктура според вида на използ­вания енергоизточник, ресурс. Състоя­нието им и тяхната рентабилност за отрасъл енергетика. Акцентирано е вли­янието на състоянието на енергийната инфраструктура върху възможностите и перспективите за отрасловото разви­тие на енергетиката. Нейното значение от гледна точка на гарантираността на енергийната система. В предвид се има същността и развитостта на инфра­структурата на енергийната система на Република България.
