The "Marketing in the Age of Sustainability" module at the University of National and World Economy is only avalable during fall semesters! Please follow the application period for the 2026/27 acacemic year.

Pre-enrollment - please fill the form in the link in order to declare your participation in the Module Marketing in the Age of Sustainability at the University of National and World Economy.

Application period

The application period runs from June 2, 2025 to June 30, 2025.

All applicants will be informed about the outcome of their application until July, 15, 2025 at the latest.

No administrative and/or tuition fees will be charged.

Costs for expenditures like reading materials, literature would have to be borne by the students (if applicable).

Application requirements:

Bachelor’s level: enrollment in a bachelor’s program at a partner university; minimum of one year of full-time studies completed (recommendable 60 ECTS-Credits).

The selection will be based on an evaluation of the applicant’s overall academic performance (transcript of records) and the statement of purpose. UNWE will notify its partner universities about the selected students. Partner universities have to confirm their students’ admission to UNWE’s courses.

Module Title: Marketing in the Age of Sustainability

Delivering institution: University of National And World Economy Sofia, Bulgaria

Study level: Bachelor students / undergraduate level

The module combines traditional and contemporary knowledge, which reflects the development of the marketing and innovations (theory and practice). The main focus is shifted from the pure marketing problems to a set of wider, interdisciplinary interactions.

The customer centric approach is followed in order to examine the change of certain aspects of consumer behavior. The process of digitalization (especially in the light of the recent situation) and its reflection on consumer behavior is widely explored throughout the module.

The greater need for responsible consumption is addressed within the context of the behavior of the individual consumer, while the exploration of the B2B relations serves as a background for further clarification of the marketing and innovations aspects of problems such as business transactions, lean supply chain management, ecology etc.

Since the processes of internationalization and globalization are considered to be vital drivers towards company’s development in the long run, the discussion within the module is brought to a wider level namely by including the scope and challenges of international marketing. The international marketing problems are referred to in the light of the managerial decisions and the strategic role of the processes (internationalization, digitalization and globalization) which take place within the global companies in the contemporary, constantly changing environment. Innovations, being integral part of company’s and consumer’s behavior are explored from a wider angle with the task to outline the whole process and the place of the company and the consumer in it.

Once having mastered the basics, the learners are expected (upon completion of the module) to gain wider knowledge and understanding of the processes which shape the contemporary Marketing.

Teamwork and active participation of all the parties in the learning process is also a key factor, which arms the students not only with knowledge and capability of reasoning and critical thinking, but also with the soft skills needed in the 21st century business environment.

1. Съгласувателна таблица

Таблицата съдържа информация за дисциплините и тяхното съответствие.
Избраните дисциплини се вписват с наименованията им на английски език.
Предложението за дисциплини се дава от студента и се съгласува предварително с д-р Виолета Златкова (стая 1004, e-mail: vzlatkova@unwe.bg) – ръководител сектор „Верификация и признаване“.
Студентите трябва да изберат учебни дисциплини, които са аналогични или сходни на учебните дисциплини, които са включени в учебния им план и трябва да изучават в УНСС през същия семестър или до края на обучението им.
Когато изпращате съгласувателната таблица е необходимо да преименувате файла така, че да е ясно, че е вашият. (пр. 23152548_Иван_Иванов_таблица).
Финален вариант на съгласувателната таблица се съхранява от студента в word формат.
Комуникацията се осъществява чрез имейл. Задължително е студентът да използва университетска поща (…@unwe.bg). Всяко следващо писмо е в отговор на преходното, за да има проследимост и бързо да може да бъде отговорено.

СЛЕД УЧАСТИЕ, СТУДЕНТИТЕ ПОДГОТВЯТ СЛЕДНИТЕ ДОКУМЕНТИ:

Успешно положените изпити и получените кредити при обучението в европейските университети се признават от УНСС, само ако преди това са съгласувани дисциплините и е одобрена съгасувателна таблица.

След приключване на обучението (курса), е необходимо да представите в стая 1004:

1. Заявление до Университетската комисия за признаване и трансфер на кредити.

2. Transcript of Records (академична справка). Процесът по признаване отнема около един месец от датата на получаване на академичната справка.

3. Учебните програми (конспекти/syllabus) на изучените дисциплини на хартиен носител.

The intention of the organizers is to collect conference papers to be published in Conference Proceedings. All submitted final versions of the papers will undergo a blind review process. The proceedings volume will be submitted for indexation by Web of Science Conference Proceedings Citation Index.

If some authors choose not to publish their papers in the Conference Proceedings, there will be other opportunities for publishing (following reviewer’s recommendations and respective revision). Every author can choose to submit her/his paper to the Yearbook of UNWE (Godishnik na UNSS), an English language journal published by UNWE-Sofia and indexed in CEEOL and IDEAS/RePEc.

After a selection process, the best papers will be recommended for publishing in Economic Alternatives – a Scopus indexed journal published by UNWE.

Conference objectives

The main goal of the Conference is to bring together early-stage researchers affiliated with ENGAGE.EU partner universities who are interested in the current status and challenges of Sustainable Development Goals (e.g., junior faculty members, post-docs, post-graduate researchers, etc.). The Conference aims to facilitate communication and future collaboration among representatives of these target groups as well as involve interested university partners from SDSN Bulgaria.

Participants will have the opportunity to meet either in person or online, and to present their work-in-progress or completed research at an international forum with a strong presence of peers.

There are no explicit limitations on the type of research work that can be presented, whether it be conceptual, empirical, or position papers. After the Conference, the final versions of the submitted papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings or other possible channels.

The major goal of the Conference is to bring together early-stage researchers and young scholars affiliated to ENGAGE.EU partner institutions e.g. junior faculty members, post-docs, and PhD students.
