<span>Mr. Stanimir Smilkov, CEO of Bureau Veritas Bulgaria, greeted the entire Rector's Managing Body for the efforts they have undertaken to incorporate the information security standards. You should be proud of this Certificate not only because you are the first university in Bulgaria to obtain it but also because it guarantees that your information can be protected. This type of information becomes an increasingly sensitive subject and can truly be the reason for the organization to work well or not work well. Organizations that handle large amounts of personal data have to think like you and take the necessary measures. These are important steps in the digitization and electronization of work", said Mr. Smilkov.</span>

<span>"This Certificate is not only a reason of pride but it is also very binding. From now on we must continue to work in the field of information security and continue to implement measures to strengthen our position in this area. It is useful that we have this Certificate because in the current year we have also started educating the first class of the joint programmes in Cybersecurity. Based on this standard, the main documents for cybersecurity - the Regulation on Minimum Requirements for Network Information Security - have been developed and the UNWE, as a public organization, is obliged to comply with the requirements of this Regulation. Our plans for the future include linking the Certificate ISO 27001:2022 with ISO 9001 Certificate for Quality Management which the UNWE has already held for ten years. It is good to integrate and coordinate them because they have points of contact", said Assoc. Prof. Kirilov, the major figure in driving the process of incorporating the new standard.</span>
