Agreement of Cooperation between the UNWE and MDV

The UNWE and MDV Professional Education (MDV Training) will assist in the preparation of highly qualified professionals in the field of accountancy, finance, financial control, economics and management through enhancement of their theoretical knowledge and development of their practical skills. It is set out in the Agreement of Cooperation between both institutions signed by the Rector Prof. D.Sc.(Econ.) Statty Statev and Doroteya Voeva, MDV Manager.

The implementation of the Agreement will begin in 2018-2019 academic year when the new Master`s degree programme in Accountancy, Financial Control and Finance will be started. It is accredited by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (АССА) – the largest professional organization in the world ensuring qualifications in the field of accountancy, auditing and finance. The education will be implemented in the English language in compliance with the ACCA requirements. As the only licensed organization for Bulgaria the MDV Training will provide the textbooks for the students.

Students graduated the Master programme will increase their chance for professional realization and career development in Bulgaria and abroad. Besides the diploma from the UNWE they will also obtain the recognition of the professional organization. It will provide the students the opportunity to start training in the shortest terms and to go in for examinations for professional level on the ACCA Programme. MDV will assist for the training of students in line with the new teaching methods of practical orientation and accent on real situations. Students will acquire knowledge and skills on academic content selected in compliance with the modern and future professional requirements. As a result of the Agreement students of Master`s degree programme will have contacts with potential employers and quick access to the professional levels of ACCA Programme.

It is also pointed out in the Agreement that both institutions will cooperate for ensuring an additional academic support to students of the UNWE Master`s degree programme in Accountancy, Financial Control and Finance as well as for creating a postgraduate qualification covering the professional level of ACCA qualification. Its academic content will be available to students in the postgraduate qualification through lectures by the MDV Training teachers and it will be extended through online content elaborated by the BPP Professional Education. The Agreement provisions also the implementation of joint specialized trainings in line with the practical demands including the UNWE postgraduate qualification as well as the modernization of curricula for Bachelor`s and Master`s degree programmes of the Finance and Accountancy Faculty in compliance with the business demands including the creation of new courses and specialities.
