International Conference - Prizes to be Awarded

All student's papers and presentations will be evaluated by an Evaluation Commitee consisting of the participating professors and the following prizes will be awarded:

the "Tsekouras Prize for Young Economists";

the "Best Presentation" Award of UNWE;

the "Most Valuable Participant" Award of UNWE.

Summer School - Entertainment Experiences

Beyond the educational program the Agenda of the 8th ASECU Youth Summer School includes also a wide range of entertainment experiences, including but not limited to: ASECU Clips preparation, ASECU International Night; ASECU Talent Night; and ASECU Night on the Beach. In addition, two field trips will be organized, as follows:

About Conference and Summer School

The 8^th ASECU Youth International Conference and Summer School are organized by the University of National and World Economy (UNWE), Sofia, Bulgaria, in the frame of the “100^th anniversary celebrations of the University of National and World Economy”. They will take place from 15^th to 20^th September 2019, in Ravda, Bulgaria, at nice resort at the Black Sea under the topic “Sustainable Development Goals 2030: Challenges for South and Eastern European Countries and the Black Sea Region”.

The 8^th ASECU Youth International Conference and Summer School will be hosted in the Rehabilitation Complex of UNWE in Ravda.

The home of the 8th ASECU Youth International Conference and Summer School is located 200 m from the coast. It has 40 double bedrooms; restaurant; large conference room for hosting the sessions and the seminars; table tennis room; Wi-Fi; as well as all the necessary health and safety facilities.

Ravda is one of the main tourist villages in Nessebar municipality (http://www.visitnessebar.org/en/destinations/ravda). It is widely known for its romantic and peaceful surroundings. Beauty in Ravda is everywhere.

The 8th ASECU Youth International Conference and Summer School will be a unique opportunity for the students to:

- participate in a life-changing experience with students from many different countries;

- to enrich their skills and knowledge taking advantage of professors from the international academic community and

- to enjoy the beach and the summer time in the breathtaking area of the District of Bourgas.

The event’s agenda will include three different types of activities:

- the sessions of the Youth Conference, where students’ papers will be presented;

- the Summer School consisting of lectures provided by the participating professors (UNWE will provide the relevant ECTS for the participants) and

- workshops and discussions led by multinational staff, as well as a wide range of cultural, sports and recreational activities in the area of Bourgas District.

All the presented papers at the Youth Conference will be published in Conference Proceedings with an ISBN number.

Fees for Participation

Each ASECU and/or ASECU-Youth member-University may nominate a standard delegation consisting of two students and one accompanying professor. The standard delegations will be hosted completely FREE OF CHARGE (accommodation and full-day catering, transportation to and from Ravda, a cultural-historical field trip, etc.)

The submission of an application and an individual paper (or a paper co-authored with other participating students) is mandatory for any participating student, in order for the above terms to apply.

As mentioned above, accompanying professors from ASECU member universities will give a lecture on any topic of their research interest, related to the main topic of the event. They will also moderate the sessions of the Summer School and support the editing process of students’ papers (if needed).

Additionally participating students and professors will be charged as follows:

Participants from ASECU and ASECU-Youth member-universities EUR 140

Participants from universities not being members of ASECU or ASECU-Youth, EUR 190
from the area of South and Eastern Europe and the Black Sea Region

Participants from Universities out of the region of ASECU EUR 240

Accompanying persons EUR 240

The above fees cover:

- accommodation and catering costs for the whole period;

- transportation from Sofia or Bourgas to Ravda on 15^th of September 2019 and vice-versa on the 20^th of September 2019;

- a cultural-historical field trip.

All participants are responsible for covering travel costs from their home cities to Sofia or Bourgas and other thinkable everyday expenses.

Students' Application

Students have to fill up the Application for Students and to submit it along with the abstract of their paper (please follow the respective Template) by the 31^st of May 2019 to asecuyouth2019@unwe.bg. Although individual papers are allowed, to enhance the team spirit of the event this year, papers that are co-authored by two (or more) participating students within a delegation are encouraged. Students will be notified by the 30^th of June 2019 for the acceptance of their application and the inclusion of their paper in the program of the Youth Conference.

The FINAL PAPERS (please follow the respective TEMPLATE) have to be submitted by the 31^st of August 2019 to asecuyouth2019@unwe.bg. Professors in the origin university shall be responsible for the supervision and the guidance of the young researchers.
