The Rector Took Part in The Celebration of The 136th Anniversary of NSI
For already 136 years the National Statistical Institute (NSI) has been working honestly, dedicatedly and professionally for the Bulgarian state. It stays loyal to its glorious traditions developing as a modern institution called to process and provide punctual information for the social and economic state and progress of Bulgaria, declared during the celebration of the 136th Anniversary of NSI the Rector of UNWE Prof. D.Sc.(Econ.) Statty Stattev.

Prof. Stattev examined the good cooperation between the UNWE and NSI in the preparation of new professionals and enhancement of qualification for employees in the system of NSI as well as in the joint implementation of research activity for solving particular tasks of statistical theory and practice. NSI has at its disposal a huge amount of information which our academic professionals analyze as at macro as also at micro level, pointed out the Rector. The framework Agreement between both institutions of ours is successfully implemented and it is extremely useful for the realization of scientific projects of national importance.
Since changes in 1989 four graduates from the UNWE has occupied the position of Chairman of NSI including the present one – Sergey Tsvetarsky. Great part of the best experts at the Institute have also graduated from the UNWE, emphasized Prof. Stattev.
During the Press Conference was presented the Chairwoman of NSI for a day - Snezhanka Bobeva, fourth-year student girl, speciality Statistics and Econometrics at the UNWE.

Snezhanka shared her impressions of statistics as a science and her opinion about the institution for which she had worked as a Chairwoman for a day. She outlined the importance of statistical information in the modern society. Our student girl was awarded a one-off salary by the CIBANK.
