Lecture-Discussion about The Judicial Reform

The Student Association EGO POLITICO organized a lecture-discussion on the Reform in the Judicial System and the guest-lecturer was Peter Slavov, member of the Parliament. The forty years old jurist has graduated from the speciality International Economic Relations at the UNWE. He is also one of the most active deputies asking a record number of questions during the Parliamentary control sessions.

The lecturer examined to students the amendments to the Judicial Act, distribution of quotas, diving process in the Supreme Judicial Council, disputes in the Parliamentary Hall, the statements of parties in the National Assembly, electronic voting, etc.

The jurist commented also the Draft Bill made by the office of the current Minister of Justice Ekaterina Zaharieva and shared that in it were included some important details failed to be added to the Constitution. The lecturer outlined that between the first and second reading of the law should be thought about the amendments related to the members quorum in the Supreme Judicial Council at the election of magistrates.
