Prof. Dulevsky who is also the Chairman of the UNWE General Assembly presented to the guest the Rector Prof. Statty Statev and Prof. Borislav Borisov, Honorary Professor and Honorary Rector of UNWE, Chairman of ABV Parliamentary Group – one of the four governing parties as well as Chairman of the Parliamentary Commission for Children, Youth and Sport. Prof. Dulevsky emphasized with thankfulness on the fact that during the autumn of 2003 when the Bulgarian ESC had been established, Prof. Borisov, Rector of UNWE at that time had placed halls and rooms at disposal of the new institution. Due to that support the Bulgarian ESC had been registered and had begun its activity – in the neutral atmosphere of the largest economic university in Southeastern Europe, outlined Prof. Dulevsky. We owe the start of ESC to Prof. Borisov, said Prof. Dulevsky pointing out that he would be linked for life to the UNWE for it had also been his university.

Prof. Borisov is a real friend because if you show such sensitivity to the civil society institution it means you have an approach and attitude to the democratic development, declared Mr. Dassis.

The Rector Prof. Stattev awarded a statuette of Prof. Stephan Bobchev – Founder and First Rector of UNWE to Mr. Dassis for his contribution to “strengthening the relations between the civil structures and university education”  (in the picture below). The Rector invited Mr. Dassis to deliver a lecture to academic community of UNWE.

“It`s a great honour for me to have this statuette”, said the EESC President. I accept the invitation of being a lecturer at your university with pleasure because the main role of the European Economic and Social Committee is to organize the young people standing for the European integration to live together in peace. Working with young people is a priority in the activity of EESC, outlined Mr. Dassis.

After the meeting the guest went over Maxima Aula and the conference halls of UNWE.
