The reports of the Rectors Managing Body for the four years electoral term and for 2015 published in special booklets were given in advance to the delegates. The Rector examined the most important parts of the university activity and gave the reasons for classifying the three “pillars” in the work during the reported four years period.

A mandate of succession can be called the past four years because we didn`t abandon the achieved results and did everything possible to develop and enrich them, pointed out the Rector. We build a bridge between the agreements and disagreements, between the problems and their resolutions, between the different generations of lecturers, between the members of academic staff.

Prof. Statev emphasized on the fact that it had been a mandate of stability because the financial stability had been kept without principle contradictions in the management of the university and without a failure of the academic process despite the troubles with the new building of UNWE. We succeeded to encourage also the interest of prospective students and to improve the system of academic growth, we ensured the stability of information provision and continued the process of administrative activity optimization, we developed the relations with students to the level of student self-government, emphasized the Rector.

The policy of an open dialogue became a valuable source of spiritual and managing energy of finding a consensus in resolving the complex issues and relative working decisions in the conditions of quickly changing external environment”, pointed out the ground of the mandate of open dialogue the Rector. That`s why overcoming the problems by the Rectors Managing Body in an open dialogue with the Faculties, Departments, Centers and Institutes, lecturers, officials, undergraduates, Doctoral students gave positive results, outlined Prof. Stattev.

The Rector summarized that the past four years had been a period of hard work, new ideas and achievements despite all difficulties. “It became possible due to each of us and to all of us together, to our dedication and love to the UNWE, to our desire to go forward”, emphasized Prof. Stattev. He said that resolving the old and new issues would continue in the future.  According to him the most important thing should be to consider the reason for the success. So we succeed and had succeeded, pointed out Prof. Stattev, “because we are together not only during the time of success but also during the time of troubles, because there is a readability and respect to the different opinions, because there is a social sensitivity, goodness and humanity, because we are not afraid of telling the mistakes, because we are united and because together we search for worthy answers to challenges”.
