Lecturer from The UNWE Took Part Actively in A Significant Scientific Forum in Beijing

In June in the Chinese National Congress Center in Beijing was held the 7th Chinese Cloud Computing Conference. At the event attended more than 400 participants from all over the world. The Forum was supported by academic and scientific institutions as the Chinese Academy of Science, various technological universities, authoritative representatives of the ICT business in China like China Telecom (having more than 640 million subscribers), Baidu, Huawei, leading Chinese cloud computing companies as well as lots of foreign partners: IBM, Microsoft, VMware, Suse, etc. During the Conference was delivered a huge number of scientific and scientifically applied presentations concerning the newest achievements in the cloud computing development and its application in the science and business. 

Prof. Dr. Dimitar Velev from the Information Technologies and Communications Department of UNWE was one of the 100 special guests at the Conference and as Deputy Chairman of the Expert Committee on Cloud Computing took part actively in the work of the Forum.

The Expert Committee on Cloud Computing was established in September 2014 in Vienna, Austria by the suggestion of the Chinese Institute of Electronics (CIE) and International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP). The main objectives of the Committee include the formulation of directives for establishing the standards in the field of cloud computing; providing an expert knowledge and consultations to state, non-governmental and business organizations in a global plan; organizing conferences and publications.

The Chinese Institute of Economics is a national academic association which is part of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology at Ministry of Industry and Information Technologies of China. CIE is established in 1962 and has more than 100 000 members from all over China. It comprises 44 subfields which in practice cover all the fields of information and communication technologies and electronics.

Prof. Velev is the Bulgarian national representative in the Technical Commission on Information Technologies Application at International Federation of Information Processing. IFIP is established in 1960 under the auspices of UNESCO and it is recognized by the UN and other world organizations. It is a leading multinational organization in the field of information and communication technologies and sciences. It unites ICT associations from 56 countries of 5 continents and has more than 500 000 members.

IFIP supports annually nearly 100 conferences in a global plan. It supports also both conferences organized by Prof. Velev which will be held in the beginning of November 2015 at the UNWE.  

During the sessions of the Expert Committee on Cloud Computing were discussed lots of issues related to the preparation of a document for the state of cloud computing. The final objective is to afford the document to governments from all over the world as an official strategy of this technology by the business point of view as well as to be enhanced the prosperity of the whole society through its purposeful usage.  

During the Conference Prof. Velev established perspective professional relations with Chinese universities and scientific organizations.

It was established in 1960 under the auspices of UNESCO.
