Scientific Conference on The Cooperation and Conflicts in The De-Globalizing World: between The Renovated Order and The Consecutive “Return to The Future”

Scientific Student Conference on the Cooperation and Conflicts in the De-Globalizing World: between the Renovated Order and the Consecutive “Return to the Future” was held in the Ceremonial Hall. The event was organized by the International Relations Research Student Association (IRRSA), International Relations Department and by the support of the Students Council. In the Conference took part students and Doctoral students from the UNWE, St. Climent Ohridski University of Sofia, Neofit Rilski South West University, University of Library Studies and Information Technologies, etc.

The Conference was opened by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Andrey Georgiev from the International Relations Department who outlined that for a consecutive year the Forum had given the students an opportunity to present their researches and reports as well as to discuss some actual aspects of international relations in the modern globalizing world.

The work of the Conference was arranged in three panels: Traditional and New Dividing Lines and Fields of Interaction in Europe and in the World, Lost in the Translation of International Public Communications, Actual Dimensions of International Cooperation and Integration. Moderators of the event were Maria Bakalova and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Plamen Ralchev from the International Relations Department. 

During the Conference

The reports presented by the students were focused on topics concerning Southeastern Europe as a challenge for the EU, the syndrome of the Balkan Nationalism, role of the United European Heaven and the new challenges to the EU states security, the European scepticism, etc.
