The Rector Met with The Ambassador of Malta

The academic cooperation between the UNWE and the University of Malta was discussed by the Rector Prof. D.Sc. (Econ.) Statty Stattev and H. E. Lino Bianco, Ambassador of Malta to Bulgaria and Romania. During the conversation the Rector outlined the leadership position of our university in the Bulgarian and European educational and research area and acquainted the Ambassador with the structure, mission, vision and international cooperation of UNWE with more than 100 universities in the world.

During the meeting between Prof. Stattev and Prof. Bianco were discussed the specific opportunities for interaction in the field of academic and scientific research activity. A special attention was paid to the mobility development of students and lecturers.

There will be signed agreements for cooperation between the UNWE and the University of Malta and the Economics Faculty of the same university.

The Rector awarded to the Ambassador the Commemorative Medal of Prof. Stephan Bobchev – Founder and First Rector of UNWE

The University of Malta which is the largest and the most authoritative one in the country is a member of the European University Association. Its activity is in compliance with the Bologna Process and the European Higher Education Area standards. There are 11 000 students at it including foreign ones from 80 different countries. The university has 14 Faculties and a lot of institutes and centers.
