The UNWE team won the Dillard Award for the best Memorial writing in the JESSUP Competition 2014. It is an unprecedented success – the greatest one for Bulgaria – in the most prestigious and the eldest international moot court competition in the world.

Our boys and girls Victoria Docheva, Ekaterina Dimitrusheva, Ivaylo Dimitrov, Krasimira Ignatova, Trayan Kosev (in the picture below) have competed with hundreds of their colleagues from the most prestigious Law Faculties in the world. Their mentors are Victor Serafimov and Inna Uchkunova from the International Moot Court Competitions Association (IMCCA).

The Dillard Award is presented to Teams for excellence in Memorial writing by comparing top Memorials across jurisdictions. The Memorial writing of our team was rated by the JESSUP Judges Commission as better than those ones of the first 32 teams in the world including the teams of the Harvard, Georgetown, Oxford University as well as the champions from the Queensland University, Australia.

The best Memorials in each national competition and the ones scored in the Top 25 from the international round held in April 2014 in Washington are evaluated on anonymous basis by an independent jury.
