Our Students Will Carry Out Their Internship in The United Nations World Tourism Organization

I wish to sincerely thank the University, and personally you, Mr. Rector, for conferring onto me the Honoris Causa Degree of the University. It has been a privilege to receive this honour from your University and I greatly value this recognition, which will keep me connected with the academic world that as you know I highly esteemed. It is pointed out in the letter by Prof. Taleb Rifai, Secretary General of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) to the Rector Prof. D.Sc. (Econ.) Sttaty Stattev.

In his letter Prof. Rifai invites students from the UNWE to carry out their internship in the UNWTO “to contribute to their understanding of the impact of economy on the Travel & Tourism industry”.

The Rector of the university Prof. D.Sc. (Econ.) Statty Stattev is awarding the Honorary title of Doctor Honoris Causa of UNWE to Prof. Rifai (on the left).

In conclusion in his letter the Secretary General of the UNWTO wishes success to the UNWE academic community in the didactic and scientific activity. “I look forward to the opportunity of continuing our discussions on our future cooperation”, also writes Prof. Rifai.

On May, 28th, 2014 Prof. Rifai was awarded the Honorary title of Doctor Honoris Causa of UNWE under the UNWE Academic Council decision made by the proposal of the Economics of Tourism Department.

UNWE is the only Bulgarian university which is an Affiliate Member of the United Nations World Tourism Organization.
