Our Lecturer Took Part in A Prestigious European Forum

From April, 2^nd to 4^th, 2014 in Warsaw, Poland was held the Annual Conference of the European Emergency Numbers Association. In it took part Prof. Dr. Dimitar Velev from the Information Technologies and Communications Department. He was specially invited to present the summarized results of his scientific research related to the analysis and management of emergency situations using intelligent mathematical approaches and modern information technologies.

The report by Prof. Dr. Dimitar Velev on the Principles of Application of the Cloud Computing in the Management of Emergency Situations aroused a great professional interest. The ideas presented in the report and the conceptual decisions are results of the scientific research activity of Prof. Dr. Dimitar Velev in the following projects managed by him at the UNWE: № НИД 21.03–44/2009 - Methodology for Information Support of the Business in Conditions of Global Economic and Financial Crisis through Cloud Computing Technology and № НИД НИ 1-8/2011 - Methodology for Building the Web-Based Integrated Information System to Assess the Risk of Natural Disasters.
