UNWE Will Cooperate with The Bulgarian Deposit Insurance Fund and The Commission for Public Oversight of Statutory Auditors

The University of National and World Economy signed two new documents for cooperation and joint activity with national institutions. The signing ceremony at the university was attended by the members of the Rectors Council.

Provision of opportunities for internships and professional realization of students, participation in research projects, joint organization of scientific events, preparation of expertise, development of joint academic programmes, analyses and surveys in the field of deposit insurance and bank bankruptcy are provided by the Memorandum for Cooperation between the UNWE and the Bulgarian Deposit Insurance Fund (BDIF). The document was signed by the Rector of the university Prof. D.Sc. (Econ.) Statty Stattev and Rossen Nikolov, Chairman of the BDIF Board.

There are many fields in which we can develop joint activity, pointed out Prof. D.Sc. (Econ.) Statty Stattev. He outlined the importance of the cooperation for the improvement of the practical skills of students from the Finance and Accountancy Faculty as well as for the promotion of European and national rules for the deposit insurance.

We are the practitioners, you are the academic representatives and the synergy between the theory and practice will have an important final effect, said Rosen Nikolov who has been an alumnus of UNWE.

Coordinator on the Memorandum Implementation by the UNWE party will be Prof. Dr. Emilia Milanova and by the BDIF party – Rosen Nikolov.

The Rector Prof. D.Sc. (Econ.) Statty Stattev and Vania Doneva, Chairman of the CPOSA signed a Framework Agreement for Cooperation between the UNWE and the Commission for Public Oversight of Statutory Auditors (CPOSA).

The Commission is one the potential employers of the professionals educated by the university, pointed out Prof. D.Sc. (Econ.) Statty Stattev. I am sure we will have all needed conditions for useful cooperation, outlined the Rector and noticed that Prof. Dr. Ognyan Simeonov, First Vice-Rector on the Education in the Educational Qualification Degree of Bachelor had been a member of the CPOSA for a second mandate.

Coordinator on the Agreement Implementation by the UNWE party will be Prof. Dr. Snezhana Basheva, Dean of the Finance and Accountancy Faculty and by the CPOSA party – Viktor Trifonov, Chief Secretary of the Commission.

The main objective of the Agreement is to be presented our university by its specialists and on the other hand, to be used practical skills of the experts from the Commission, pointed out Prof. Basheva. It has already been appointed a meeting where students from the Faculty will be able to familiarize themselves with the work of the Commission.

By the Agreement will be opened new opportunities for interaction, it will be of interest for both institutions, said Vania Doneva.

The Agreement sets the foundation for future cooperation in which the UNSS with its capabilities and scientific expert potential will participate in lecturing and consulting activity, education at the university of specialists and officials from the Commission, etc. It is provisioned conduction of internships and announcement of jobs for students in the Commission, mutual participation and cooperation in seminars, conferences, expertise, consultations, etc.
