Prof. Tadarakov Made A Donation to The British Library

Prof. Dr. Dimitar Tadarakov, Head of the Economics of Tourism Department donated to the British National Library two copies of the first volume from the edition Pomorie – Antiquity and Modernity.

Prof. Tadarakov was elected among all supporters of that research and publishing initiative to pay that sincere gesture of respect to the English cultural institution. The donation handed in from him to Dr. Milan Garba, Head of the Library Division for Southeastern Europe was defined as a positive step in the international book exchange and presence of modern Bulgarian scientific editions in the British Library.

The edition Pomorie – Antiquity and Modernity created by eminent Bulgarian scientists – Acad. Vasil Gyuzelev, Prof. Mihail Lazarov, Prof. Elena Grozdanova, Prof. Velko Tonev and others.

The initiative was realized by the assistance of Konstantin Dimitrov, Bulgarian ambassador in London.

The letter of Prof. Tadarakov to the British Library

 In a special Letter of Thankfulness to Prof. Tadarakov (on June, 26th, 2013), the Chief Executive of the British Library Roly Keating  has written:

The British Library is the second largest one in the world after the Congress Library in Washington. In it are stored more than 150 million units – literature treasure of the humanity. It is visited daily by 16 000 readers who use its information resources. Part of that are also the famous manuscripts of Leonardo da Vinci.
