Seminar of The World Famous Emerald Publishing House

The world famous Emerald Publishing House by the assistance of the university library organized a Seminar on How Can Bulgarian Authors Be Published in Emerald?. The publisher has signed a contract with the ISI Thomson Reuters for inclusion of its editions – books, magazines, periodicals in the database Web of Science/ Book Citation Index.

Before the Seminar the Rector of UNWE D.Sc. (Econ.) Statty Stattev saw and had a conversation with Jo Sharocks and guests from the British Publishing House (in the picture below).

Bulgarian authors who publish in Emerald will be entered very soon in the international exchange of citations and scientific references, outlined at the opening of the Seminar at the Library Hall 2 Prof. Dr. Valentin Goev, Vice-Rector on Scientific Research Activity.

A detailed “Guide to Getting Published” was presented to participants in the Forum by Jo Sharocks, publisher working on the Emerald portfolio titled Health and Social Care. She outlined the objectives of the Seminar: to be demystified the way of publishing, to be known the process from within, to be given practical advices for writing, etc. Sharocks also presented the Emerald Publishing House and specified how papers had to be structured, made some explanations about the publishing ethics, useful resources, the publishing process, etc.
