Lecture about Challenges to Switzerland and Its Relations with The European Union

A lecture on the Challenges Which Switzerland Faces and Its Relations with the European Union was read to students by Atanas Pavlov, former ambassador of Bulgaria in Switzerland. Organizer of the meeting was the International Relations Research Students Association (IRRSA).

Atanas Pavlov who is a co-founder and former Chairman of the Bulgarian Diplomatic Association, diplomatist having more than 23 years of experience in the career presented to students the specific of diplomatic service, shared his practical experience, referred to historical facts, commented some actual issues of the Switzerland practice to be negotiated separate sector agreements and its preference to conclude bilateral contracts with the European Union in the fields like people`s mobility, transport and technical barriers to the trade. Atanas Pavlov exposed the specific of political activity of the Alpine state and made reference notes and comparisons with some activities and politics in our country. About the issues and crisis in a world plan he focused on characteristic features typical only for Europe and definite regions and countries.
