More Than 150 People Participated in The Charitable Sports Tournament at The Bonsist Sports Complex

During the last weekend at the Bonsist Sports Complex was organized the consecutive event in support of the campaign titled Kamen`s Comets. Initiators of the event were the Students Council and the Physical Education and Sports Department together with the Start Up Foundation. The charitable Sports Tournament was organized also on the occasion of the World Cancer Day – February. 4th.

The Tournament was supported by the Bulgarian Basketball Federation as well as by the Amateur Volleyball League. On the first day it was played a demonstrative match on table-tennis and the national player Petyo Krastev took part in it. He participated together with the UNWE representative team on table-tennis with players – Vasil Petkov, Emil Erkerov and Trayan Naidenov.

In the demonstrative match on basketball Veselin Veselinov and Pavel Marinov united theirs efforts with the representatives of BGbasket.com, Sportal.bg and Theme Sport. Turning into Kamen`s Comets they faced against the UNWE team and played four parts lasting 8 minutes each. There wasn`t a winner in the match but spectacle and funny moments as smashes and beautiful combinations didn`t miss. For a moment Veselinov changed his role with one of the referees who was sent by the Sofia Referee Association in support of the initiative. The stars from Lukoil Academic Club together with Spas Stavrev, Head of the Physical Education and Sports Department at the UNWE awarded the winners in the Basketball Tournament.

Elite football referees from “A” Group took part in the demonstrative match on football against the UNWE representative team led by Ivan Stoilov. In the match played also at the Bonsist Sports Complex participated Nikola Dzhuganski, Chairman of the Bulgarian Football Union, the elite arbitrators Nikolai Yordanov, Tasko Taskov, Kalin Lyudmilov, Mladen Marinov and the young Yoto Garabelov and Petar Dzhuganski. They personally handled awards to the winners in the Football Tournament and Volleyball Tournament and left their wishes for Kamen.

Competitors and Referees

Guest of the charitable Sports Tournament was also Ivailo Zahariev – actor from the famous Bulgarian TV serial named Under Cover. He took part in the competitions on basketball and football and he also left a message for Kamen.

In the Tournament participated more than 150 people and all the funds collected from fees and donations in the amount of 2793 BGN were given for Kamen`s treatment.
