New Joint Master`s Degree Programme between UNWE and ULCO - France

The preparation of a Joint Master`s Degree Programme on Economics of Tourism was discussed by Prof. Dr. Dimitar Tadarakov, Head of the Economics of Tourism Department and Chief Assistant Dr. Asya Pencheva, lecturer at the Department, by the Vice-Rectors of Universite du Littoral Cote d’Opale (ULCO) – France and colleagues from Dunkerque, Bologne sur mer и Saint-Omer – towns where ULCO is located. In the discussion were specified disciplines which would be included in the academic plan of the Programme.

There were also discussed the three agreements between both universities: for academic cooperation, for the issue of joint diplomas on Tourism for Educational Qualification Degree of Master from UNWE and ULCO and for exchange of students and lecturers.

In Saint-Omer Prof. Dr. Dimitar Tadarakov, Chief Assistant Dr. Asya Pencheva and some French lecturers presented to students two hours lection in the French and English language.

In February 2013 the Rector of UNWE Prof. D.Sc.(Econ.) Statty Stattev will sign officially the agreement with the President of ULCO Prof. Roger Durand who will arrive in Sofia.

The education in the Joint Master`s Degree Programme on Economics of Tourism will start in the academic year 2013/2014.
