Petar Ivanov Won The 4th Tournament on Table-Tennis for The UNWE Cup

The volleyball trainer at our university Petar Ivanov won the 4th Tourmanet on Table-Tennis for the UNWE Cup organized by the Physical Education and Sport Department. The matches were played at the tennis-table hall at the Bonsist Complex. The main referees were Angel Avramov and Kristina Draganova.

The winner

At first the organizers divided the participants in two preliminary groups. After playing all the matches in the groups the best couples of players were ranked for the quarter-finals. The couples were Gary Kasabov – Ivan Padarev, Ivan Petrov – Nadya Boneva, Petar Ivanov – Konstantin Pudin and Stefan Dobrev – Nikolai Bakardzhiev. The winners were Kasabov, Petrov, Ivanov and Bakardzhiev.

The semi-finals were played in 3 of 5 games. Gary Kasabov won a victory over Ivan Petrov by score of 3:0 games and Peter Ivanov defeated Nikolai Bakardzhiev also by score of 3:0.

In the little final Pertov defeated Bakardzhiev by 3:0. The final was extremely challenged but in the end Peter Ivanov succeeded to win a victory over Gary Kasabov by 3:2 points and 12:10 in the last game. “Gary is very difficult and experienced rival. I won because I had more luck”, said the champion.

The rewards were bestowed to the winners by the Scientific Secretary of the Department Larisa Kasabova.
