First Meeting – Discussion of The Club Marketing and Strategic Planning

Market Economy and Social Responsibility by a lecturer Dr. Nikolai Tsonev was the topic of the first meeting – discussion of the youngest university students Club Marketing and Strategic Planning. The main alternative for a way out of crisis is the actualization of the economic model of market economy by social responsibility, outlined Dr. Tsonev and defined it as a free based on the competitiveness economic order whose center was the independent individual operating on his/her own responsibility.

Before the lecture the representative of the Students Council Simeon Kolyandov bestowed diplomas to the three winners in the Third International Student Olympiad on Marketing in Varna. The third year undergraduates from the speciality Marketing at the UNWE – Emil Lyubenov, Alexandra Drenska and Vladislav Chelakov - won the first place in the Olympiad.

The main objectives of the Club having as members more than 180 students from specialities Marketing, Prognostication and Planning and professional field Economics and Business were defined by the fourth year undergraduate from the speciality Marketing Emil Luybenov, Chairman of the Club: foundation of a social community of students from the UNWE, participation in national and international projects and programmes. It is envisaged also the organizing of students internships, stimulation of the students creative work, etc. I have an idea to be carried out the first Olympiad on Marketing and Planning in April next year, to be organized meetings – discussions with leading professionals in the field of marketing and strategic planning as well as with public figures.

Chief Assistant Dr. Nikolai Vankov closed the meeting by the words of Steve Jobs: “Stay hungry for knowledge and always be so unreasonable for the new challenges in life!”
