Leading Companies Came at The UNWE for The Day of Career

The Day of Career outlines against the numerous initiatives of the Students Council and the reason is that it traces your future and your professional growth, said to students at the opening of the Day of Career Prof. Statty Stattev, Rector of UNWE. The Minister of Labour and Social Policy Totyu Mladenov also attended at the event that gathered together hundreds of young people at the Large Conference Hall and around the counters of the employer companies.

“We have the reason to be proud because we are the university №1, reminded to student majority the Rector. Prof. Stattev announcing that according to the new accreditation of the National Agency for Assessment and Accreditation which is in its final stage, UNWE is outlined again as a leader among the universities in the country. It`s a fact that about 2,5% is the unemployment among the alumni of UNWE which means that over 97% of them succeed to have realization at the labour market, pointed out the Rector and outlined that such a result may not be achieved even by the famous world institutions. He thanked for the assistance of Minister Mladenov who is also a part-time lecturer at the university.

I`m very impresses of what is UNWE doing, said the social Minister Totyu Mladenov. According to him the recent tendency “from social aids to employment” must considerably turn into the direction “by education to employment”. The Minister emphasized on one of the most successful programmes for internship of young people up to 29 years old where about 2 000 people are occupied now. It is laid ahead the signing of a National Treaty between the government, syndicates and employers about the first job of young people so the business to become engaged by additional internships for them, pointed out Totyu Mladenov. The purpose is the young people graduated their education to realize at the labour market till the fourth month after their graduation.

The Large Conference Hall of the university turned out that was too small to gather all the people willing to attend at the opening and to hear the presentations of the leading companies.

More than 30 companies take part in the peculiar labour exchange at the university. Around the counters in the lobby of UNWE don`t stop to crowd students who was appealed to bring also a CV by the organizers – the Students Council and the Inter-University Center for Career Development, by the support of Jobs.bg. Among the presented companies are the Agency on Employment, Adecco, ADDRESS Real Estate Company, IBM, AIMS, State Savings Bank (DSK), British American Tobbaco, Bulgarian National Bank, Bulwork, Danone, DHL, GEFCO, Zagorka, Fulbright Commission, ConsulTeam, Corporate Commercial Bank, Kraft Foods, ManPower, METRO, Mtel, Nestle, United Bulgarian Bank (OBB),  PricewaterhouseCoopers, Sofica Group, Societe Generale ExpressBank, Unikredit Bulbank, Select Asset Management Company, HP, Human Relations Consulting Recruitment, Central cooperative Bank, CEZ and many others.

Twelve companies make their presentations at the Large Conference Hall which will be an additional possibility for students to orient in the opportunities for perspective career development and work.
