Possible Scenarios for The Future of The Euro Area Were Outlined by Eminent Economists

Prof. Philip Sosie from the University of Orlean, France, Prof. Antonio Mendoga from the Lisbon University and Former Minister of Economy, the European deputy Ivailo Kalfin, Deputy Chairman of the Commission on European Parliament Budgets and the lecturers from UNWE Prof. Nikolai Nenovsky and Dr. Peter Chobanov were the lecturers in a scientific seminar for Europe and The Euro Area Issues that has been held at the UNWE. The discussion was organized by the Bulgarian delegation of The Group of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament and the attendants were eminent economists from UNWE and many other universities. 

Almost for four years Europe has been into economic crisis and the politicians turn to us, researchers to find out resolutions together, opened the seminar Prof. Dr. Valentin Goev, Vice-Rector of the University who outlined that it was an honour for UNWE to be the host of such important event.

Does Potugal come along the steps of Greece? What impact will have the choice of the new French President Francois Hollande on the Euro area? In what direction does Greece go after the parliament elections, what will be the ruling coalition after the electoral earthquake in our south country-neighbour? What are the issues in the Old Continent and the Euro area now, which of the scenarios will work in the future, is the fate of the Euro currency on a map, are there two continents called Europe, what are supposed to be the economy, unemployment, the life standard in our country and in the European Union in the future? On the answers of these and many other actual issues emphasized the lecturers exposing their theses on the problems.

The theses provoked also a busy debate among the attendants at the Hall.
