Robert de Koning Was Titled by The Honorary Mark of The Rector of UNWE

The Honorary Mark of The Rector of UNWE was bestowed to Robert de Koning by Prof. D. Sc. (Econ.) Statty Stattev, Rector of the university. The Head of the university titled the authoritative author, one of the ideologists of elaboration and implementation of the System for Financial Management and Control in the public sector of the European Union member states who also has merits for bringing the System into use in Bulgaria (in 2006).

Robert de Koning who has also been a recent representative of the European Commission – DG Budget and a national expert in DG Financial Control read a lecture at the Ceremonial Hall of UNWE on the Actual State of The Internal Financial Control in The Public Sector: Lessons and Perspectives. At the lecture organized by the Finance and Accountancy Faculty and the Financial Control Department of UNWE attended Prof. Ognyan Simeonov, First Vice-Rector of UNWE, Prof. Snejana Basheva, Dean of the Finance and Accountancy Faculty, Prof. Valery Dimitrov, Chairman of Bulgarian Audit Office, representatives of the Ministry of Finance, the Agency for State Financial Inspection, the Executive Agency for Audit of the European Union Funds, professors from the university.

At the public lecture attended eminent Bulgarian scientists and specialists	The Rector Prof. Statty Stattev is giving the Honorary Mark to Robert de Koning (on the right).

An opening speech was made by Prof. D.Sc. (Econ.) Mihail Denev. In his public lecture Robert de Koning outlined the most essential parts in the Conception for Financial Management and Control, the criteria for successful work in the audit, the system for internal audit, etc. He answered the questions of our specialists at the Hall.

The public lecture was carried out within the celebrations for the 60th Anniversary of the Finance and Accountancy Faculty of UNWE.
