"Of course, to continue your education is the major objective of the mobility under the Erasmus+ Programme. It will give you the opportunity to add to your knowledge and skills acquired at the UNWE, to compare the disciplines and methods of teaching and assessment at our university with other universities as well as to choose even such courses that are still missing here and you want to make a career in this field. If you want to work for a large company and have a good salary in the future, the student mobility under the Erasmus+ Programme is what you are looking for", added Assoc. Prof. Assenova.

About the Student Mobility

It is of two types - mobility for study purposes and mobility for practice purposes.

The student mobility for study purposes lasts one semester or more /from 3 to 12 months/ and takes place in a partner university in the EU country or non-EU country /see the UNWE partner universities on the UNWE website, section "Mobility" /. In order to find the most appropriate programme or university for you, it is good to consider in advance:

  • the training programmes offered by the host institution and how close they are to your curriculum at the UNWE;
  • the language of teaching in the host institution.

One of the greatest advantages of student mobility for study purposes is that it allows you to gain experience from another country, another university and way of learning, different culture and all this without having to pay a tuition fee at the host institution. You continue being a student at the UNWE and after your return the credits you have received in the relevant subjects will be recognized by our university.

Students wishing to acquire new skills and professional knowledge are recommended to apply for student mobility for practice purposes. To take advantage of this opportunity you must declare your interest and strictly follow the instructions given to you by the staff of the UNWE University Center for Students and Lecturers Mobility. The permissible duration of student mobility for internships may vary between 2 and 12 months.

The Erasmus+ Programme provides financial support so that students could acquire innovative knowledge, new skills and intercultural experience that would be invaluable when applying for a job.

If all this sounds good to you but you don't know where to start, please:

Step 1: Read the information about the Erasmus+ Programme on the UNWE website, section “Mobility” – https://www.unwe.bg/mobility.

Step 2: Check whether you meet the conditions for conducting student mobility for study purposes or student mobility for practice purposes.
