The Financial Supervision Commission is a specialized state body that unites the regulation and supervision of various segments of the financial system - the capital and insurance market as well as the supplementary pension insurance market. It was established in 2003 and it is an institution independent of the executive power and reports about its activity to the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria. The main mission of the institution is to assist with legal, administrative and information tools to maintain stability and transparency of the non-banking financial system in Bulgaria as well as to protect the interests of investors, insured and insuring persons.

The Global Money Week /GMW/ is an annual global campaign to raise awareness of the importance of financial literacy for young people from an early age. This year the theme is "Build your future!" Be smart about the money!” The initiative is aimed at further developing the knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviors that young people need to make informed financial decisions as a result of which they will achieve financial well-being and financial sustainability.
