At The Library Was Conducted Training for Work by Digital Resources

At the Reading-Room №1 of the University Library was conducted training for work by the platforms for scientific publications called Science Direct, Scopus and Web of Knowledge. The training was organized by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Science jointly with the UNWE Library, the Publishing Company Elsevier and the Publishing Company Thomson Reuters.

Prof. Valentin Goev, Vice-Rector on The Scientific Research Activity of UNWE emphasized upon the major role of the actual scientific information in the process of implementation of scientific and innovative activities. He also pointed out that by the new three-year Contracts for subscription will be provided an access to the e-data bases of both publishing companies – Elsevier and Thomson Reuters.

The Managing body of Ministry of Education, Youth and Science made a great step in the information security, said also Yanita Jerkova, State Expert at the Science Directorate to the Ministry of Education, Youth and Science as she outlined that it was a matter of extremely useful resources.

The purpose of the training was to inform scientists about the opportunities of national subscriptions, to demonstrate the new characteristics of the scientific information data bases, to announce the opportunities of the new instruments for analysis of the scientific production useful for Heads of scientific organizations in the process of decision making as well as to inform students and doctoral students.
