Another Two UNWE Graduates Are Ministers in the Cabinet “Yanev 2”

As part of the new interim government appointed by a Decree of the President Rumen Radev, two of the three new ministers are graduates of UNWE, International Economic Relations Department.

Valery Belchev – Interim Minister of Finance has Master's degree in International Economic Relations and Doctoral degree from the University of National and World Economy. His Doctoral thesis focuses on banking regulations. Minister Belchev also holds Master's degree in Public Administration from the Harvard University and Master's degree in Financial and Banking Techniques from the University Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas.

Hristo Alexiev – Interim Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications. He has Master`s degree in International Economic Relations from the UNWE and Bachelor's degree in Political Sciences from the University of Plovdiv. He holds a number of qualifications and certificates from the Imperial College London, Oxford University Business School and other international educational institutions. He has been a Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications in the interim government of Ognyan Gerdjikov.

Thus the UNWE graduates in the cabinet "Yanev 2" become six: Galab Donev, Interim Deputy Prime Minister for Economic and Social Policies and Interim Minister of Labour and Social Policy, Boyko Rashkov, Interim Deputy Prime Minister for Public Order and Security and Interim Minister of Interior, Svetlan Stoev, Interim Minister of Foreign Affairs and Andrey Zhivkov, Interim Minister of Energy. They also retain their posts in the new interim government.
