ENGAGE.EU held its first strategic Seminar with the participation of the Vice-Rectors for Research and International Affairs/Internationalization of the seven partner-universities in the alliance.

The seminar was organized by the Innovation Office of the Vienna University of Economics and Business with the assistance of the ENGAGE.EU office at the University of Mannheim. Its objective was to focus the management thinking on the ENGAGE.EU long-term development.

During the seminar the advantages of the two approaches of thinking were used: divergent and convergent. The Vice Rectors were divided into groups to discuss issues related to the added value of the European University for the development of research as well as as well as to the four areas of ENGAGE.EU development - Outreach, Globregional Approach, International Reputation and Human Centricity. Then the groups exchanged their views and set out some common development priorities.

During the Seminar Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mihail Musov, Vice Rector for Research and International Affairs of UNWE emphasized on the necessity of stronger focus on the development of Ph.D. students and young scientists as well as on the wider dissemination of scientific results. “The more we think about our common future much more new opportunities we discover. We must continue in the same way”, wrote Assoc. Prof. Musov in the online platform et the end of the event.

A similar seminar is also held with the Vice Rectors for Academic Affairs of the partner-universities.
