UNWE Participated in the European Debate on the Scientific Results Future Evaluation

On behalf of the European University ENGAGE.EU the UNWE took part in a two-day seminar dedicated to the creation of Methodology of Indicators Monitoring the Transformation Process of European Universities in the Field of Science and Innovation.

In the beginning of 2022 the European Commission will present a new European Strategy for Universities which will provide various mechanisms to support European higher education institutions in the process of their transformation for fulfilling the four missions of higher education: research, education, innovation and contribution to society. The elaborated Methodology will be used both to monitor the progress of individual higher education institutions and to assess the implementation of the new European Strategy.

The European Universities initiative has a key place in the framework of the new Strategy as the existing 41 alliances are the "engines" of the transformation process. That`s why one representative from each alliance is involved in the team for development and test of the Monitoring Methodology. The representative of ENGAGE.EU in this team is Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mihail Musov from the UNWE, Vice Rector for Research and International Affairs and member of the ENGAGE.EU Executive Committee.

"It is an honor and a great responsibility for UNWE to participate at such a high level in the formation of policies that will determine the path of higher education and science development in Europe by the end of decade. For the first time we have the opportunity to participate in such important transformation processes along with the leading European universities so we make full use of this opportunity. It is not easy, but all the efforts worth it", declared Assoc. Prof. Musov.
