The UNWE Library already has a modern UV machine for books disinfection and sterilization. It is a new ecological method for prevention and storage of books and documents in long-terms. Due to it the 72-hour quarantine of books will be avoided. It is effective against viruses, dust, mold, flu, pathogenic bacteria, including COVID-19. The machine sterilizes up to six books simultaneously in 30 seconds without damaging the book paper bodies.

In relation to the imposed anti-epidemic measures til now the UNWE Library has observed the requirement for books to stay in a special room for 72 hours after their return before being re-provided for use by another user.

The new machine will also help protect the University's literary heritage and its rich librarian fund from book pests.

In order to optimize the working process the Borrowing Room is already moved next to the entrance of the Library on the right. It will improve the Library functionality and will help serve the users better.
